Refund Policy
Our refund and cancellation terms, including a 30-day money-back guarantee on all subscription plans.

1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through the HailAPI platform (hailapi.com), operated by Lumea di Georgiana Huides, Via Ofanto 26L, 00071 Pomezia (RM), Italy — P.IVA: IT18023211008.
All payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions. Paddle appears on your bank or credit card statement as the billing entity.
2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee
This guarantee applies to:
- First-time subscription purchases (monthly or annual plans)
- Plan upgrades within 30 days of the upgrade
After the 30-day period, subscription payments are non-refundable, but you may cancel at any time to prevent future charges (see Section 5).

Please include your account email and the reason for the request (optional). We process refund requests within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method by Paddle, typically appearing within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
4. Credit Purchases (Pay-As-You-Go)
For one-time credit purchases:
- Unused credits — refundable within 30 days of purchase
- Partially used credits — the unused portion may be refunded within 30 days of purchase
- Consumed credits (API calls already made) — non-refundable, as the service has been fully performed
Credits do not expire and remain in your account indefinitely.
5. Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through:
- Your HailAPI Dashboard (Account → Subscription)
- Contacting support@hailapi.com
Upon cancellation:
- Your access continues until the end of the current billing period
- No further charges will be made
- Unused credits remain in your account indefinitely
- Your account data is retained for 30 days after the billing period ends, then deleted per our Privacy Policy
6. EU Right of Withdrawal
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and Italian Codice del Consumo (D.Lgs. 206/2005, Art. 52), consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal from distance contracts without providing any reason.
6.1 Waiver for Digital Services
Pursuant to Art. 59, letter o) of the Codice del Consumo and Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, the right of withdrawal is lost when all of the following conditions are met:
- You gave prior express consent to the immediate provision of the service before the 14-day period expired
- You acknowledged that you would lose your right of withdrawal upon beginning use of the service
- You received confirmation of the contract on a durable medium (email)
These conditions are presented as a separate consent mechanism during checkout.
6.2 Exercising Withdrawal
If you have not begun using the service (no API calls made, no dashboard access), you may exercise your 14-day right of withdrawal by contacting support@hailapi.com. If you began using the service after providing consent, you may owe proportional payment for the service already provided (Art. 14(3) of the Directive).
6.3 Our 30-Day Guarantee Prevails
In practice, our 30-day money-back guarantee (Section 2) is more generous than the 14-day EU withdrawal right. The guarantee applies even after you begin using the service.
7. Payment Processing & Merchant of Record
Paddle.com Market Limited is the Merchant of Record for all HailAPI transactions. This means:
- Paddle processes your payment and appears on your bank statement
- Paddle handles VAT/tax collection and invoicing
- Refunds are processed and issued by Paddle to your original payment method
- Paddle enforces a maximum 60-day window for refund requests from the date of transaction
By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle's Checkout Buyer Terms. You may also contact Paddle directly for billing inquiries via their buyer support.
8. Exceptions & Non-Refundable Scenarios
Refunds will not be issued for:
- API credits that have been consumed (calls already processed)
- Refund requests made after 30 days from purchase
- Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
- Requests made after 60 days from the original transaction
- Confirmed service malfunctions are handled separately: affected credits are re-credited to your account rather than refunded monetarily
In cases of duplicate charges or billing errors, we will issue a full refund regardless of the above.
